Technology- An insight to the digital world.
Boon: We will shop around and see the varied effects of technology on food industry, consumerism, industrial, business and comfort, utilization of resources, travel, communication, education, healthcare, architecture, design, arts, culture and heritage. It helps us connect with others socially, stay connected with others. It’s helpful in information accessibility; it broadens knowledge, makes learning fun and has transferable skills
Bain: Conversely it's resulted in increase of pollution, depletion of resources, stress, social alienation, health issues, psychiatric disorders, materialism, excessive dependency, wastage of your time , health, information glut, inappropriate information, disconnected youth, cyber bullying, cyber stalking and cybercrime. It’s a serious distraction for all ages, results in ‘numbing down’ and making people excessively hooked into technology.
Technology and Children:
Kids today have access to tons such a lot technology and there has been a lot of dialogue within the media about whether this is often an honest or a nasty thing. If our youngsters are to require full advantage of the potential benefits offered by new sorts of digital learning, then access to appropriate technology is important. It are often more fun, cater to unique learning styles, bring interesting presentations, reading skills, comprehension, problem solving, critical thinking, memorizing, navigating and data-collecting, motivation as children want to end tasks in order that they can win the games.
Limited exposure to educational television may have a positive impact on your child, but a household where the TV is blaring all day won't. From a developmental point of view, interactive entertainment is usually a far better option. Sit with them as they see TV and use your gadgets. Don’t allow them to use these gadgets for hours on end. Debate with them about the content they see. Allow them to learn to discriminate what they see and listen to and make their own judgment and form their own opinions. Delete features and perks kids don’t need (e-mail, Internet, instant messaging). Children should use the web under supervision because the Internet has countless dark alleys that you simply don’t want your child stumbling upon. Confirm there's tons of non-digital time with family and friends.
